Kevin the Warrior Monk

So, I found an awsome photomanip tutorial by which inspired me to try it. I've always wanted to do something w/some pics my friend K gave me from his trip to China a couple years back, and this seemed perfect. I wanted to give it an early morning feel w/the mist and a yellow gradient to one side for sunlight. I tried to make rays but didn't really know how and my attempts were very akward so I just used a plain gradient. I'm told the sign on the door says Shaolin Temple. I'm planning on hanging on to this until x-mas or some other occasion to get it printed 15x22 and gift it to him. I hope he is pleased with it *update he loved it*

I cropped the photo down alot to give it a vertical format. When I have a chance I'll add a link to the original photo for comparison. I don't hav any flash software so I couldn't do the phasing thing in the tutorial.

For textures I layered on by on the clothing (although I think it got blended down too much and might not be visible enough). by for the temple walls. The lower temple walls (the brown bits to the sides of the stairs): but has since been removed from DA :/ for the ground and stairs was by And finally a stock photoshop pattern for the foggyness.
